First of all, you need to purchase the gears either with OM or money to own it and be able to wear it. You can only wear 1 item at a time for each part of the body (head, body, legs), so for example, if you own many head gears , the upgrades are not cumulative…you only have the upgrade that the equipped gear gives you.
The gears you can equip in Multiplayer change everytime a new 4-days round starts (new gun). To unlock the gear in Multiplayer, you can either earn the required amount of MP or pay with OM. The OM you have to pay to unlock the gears gets lower everytime you earn more MP. Again, you need to own the gear to be able to use it.
For multiplayer, you can verify the upgrade that every gear gives you either in the multiplayer screen (gear unlock tab) or in the gear shop : the current MP gear is hatched in green and the upgrade it gives you has a ''MP'' written beside it (the upgrades without MP written beside does not apply in MP).
Quick tip : in Multiplayer, if you own the gear, you automatically wear it when you are in multiplayer. There is no need to go in the shop to change from Battlefield gear to Mutliplayer gear. So you can always wear the Battlefield gears you prefer and not bother with the MP gears. That tip is for you DBOMB_69.
